The BronxCare Hospital Center is a major teaching hospital and a part of The BronxCare Health System. 

The Department of Medicine covers about 250 inpatient beds and 37 beds in the ICU and CCU units.

Currently, we have approximately 85 full-time faculty members, 120 residents and fellows. In addition, the department runs 6 Ambulatory Care clinics under the Chief of Primary Care & Preventive. Housestaff manages all patients admitted under medicine.
